How to use COLDBRICK™

PHASE ONE
Once you receive COLDBRICK™,
open it
and carefully read all the instructions.
You can also find an extra
'Detailed guide' at the link below.
The first step involve writing
your Seed Phrase
on the sheet labeled 'SEED PHRASE'
found inside the package.

PHASE TWO
Now create your Code Plate
by forming a combination
using the numbers corresponding
to the positions of the words
in your seed phrase.
To make it tamper-proof
and easy to remember,
refer to the example COLDBRICK™
or check again the detailed guide.
For a 12-word seed phrase,
you have to use
a single face of COLDBRICK™
(both plates facing the same shape,
triangle or rectangle),
while you need to utilize both faces
for a 24-word seed phrase.

PHASE THREE
Once you've created your custom order,
it's time to write the words in that order.
Remember
that these initial steps
should be completed
entirely
on the paper plates provided.
If needed,
you can reprint them
from the dedicated 'Paper plates' link.

PHASE FOUR
Once you've formed your combination
and ensured that the Code Plate
is complete with all the numbers,
transfer the words
from the 'SEED PHRASE' sheet
to the paper Seed Plate,
following the chosen positions
in the Code Plate.
Caution: seed plate and code plate
must have the same orientation,
either both with the triangle
or rectangle facing up.

PHASE FIVE
To ensure both
the Code Plate and Seed Plate
have been created and filled correctly,
perform the reverse operation:
Using the two plates,
rewrite the seed phrase in order
on the sheet labeled
'SEED PHRASE DECRYPT'.
Compare the sheets labeled
'SEED PHRASE'
and 'SEED PHRASE DECRYPT'
which must match.

PHASE SIX
It's the moment to engrave
the COLDBRICK™ steel plates
using the just-created
paper reproductions as a reference.
You can use the included engraving pen
or use punches
with letters and numbers.
Both options have pros and cons.
The pen is faster, but less precise and requires a steady hand.
The punches are very precise,
but you will need time and a suitable workspace.
Unless you have a laser engraver...
